Free RPG Day – Where You At?
This Saturday, June 21st, is Free RPG Day. If you don’t know what that is, and shame on you if you don’t
, it can be summed up thusly:
The goal of Free RPG Day is to get gamers inspired to play a new RPG, which will in turn, create sales through local game stores.
And that’s exactly what it does! You can walk in to a lot of local RPG stores and find games being played and free swag for folks. Personally, I’ll be heading to the stores in my area to try and grab items for the volunteers who will be helping out at the EN World booth at GenCon (we still need volunteers, by the way).
If you’re not sure where to go in your area, check out this page for a list of particpating stores: http://www.freerpgday.com/stores.htm
I plan on going to the two shops in my area that are participating; The Game Shoppe in Bellevue and Ground Zero Comics in Omaha (on 50th and L). If you’re there and you see me, please say hi. I’d love to meet ya!
