It’s been a busy year. Here’s to next year!

Even though I’ve had the RPGCentric domain for over three years, the blog didn’t officially start until July 1st of this year. Granted, my first post was to tell my regular gaming group that forums had moved but that’s neither her nor there. ;)

I’ve been pleasently surprised by the number of people who have read my blog. Of course, this number really went up once I joined RPG Bloggers, so I’ll always be thankful to them. Looking at the pure numbers, here’s how it breaks down:

Total Posts: 110

Total Visitors: 22,060

Pages/Visit: 1.52

Best referrer: enworld.org (7,113 views)

Most viewed post: An open letter to Randy Buehler (3,136 views)

Most commented post: Why 4E D&D is geared towards combat (32 comments)

Google term that brought in the most visitors: “4e bard” (325 views)

Best month: December (8,013 views)

Considering I’ve only been up and running for seven months, I’m very happy with those numbers. :)

As for next year, I have a lot of ideas to post about. Here are some things to look forward to:

  • More Filks – Because I love doing them. ;)
  • More Collaborative Fiction – I had a lot of fun doing it before and want to continue it. You can go here to see my latest call for authors. If you haven’t seen our original work, “Closure,” I suggest you check it out.
  • Adventure Ideas – I have a lot of ideas for adventures that never come to fruition. I thought I’d post them here, as they come, to allow others to expand upon them.
  • Complete Adventure – I will also start working on a complete adventure or two to, hopefully, post this year.
  • Gamers Helping Gamers – A podcast my wife and I are going to start. Hopefully it’ll help some people.
  • A Bit of History and Inspiration – This is the one that is going to take a while. The plan is to take RPG classes and research the history of each. Then post about them, as well as examples, real or fictional, that can inspire you to play a certain character. For example, the Barbarian from the 3.5 PHB. I will post the history of the barbarian and example from fiction or reality that will fit each of the alignments available to the 3.5 Barbarian. Like I said, it will take a while

I know other ideas will come along as the year progresses but that’s all I have for now. So thanks to everyone for their support this year and here’s to a great 2009! :D

Yay! I’ve noticed gamers are some of the more social bloggers. It never feels like the successful ones are being snobs and even a newbie can feel included into the group pretty quick.
