It’s my fault Black Leaf died!

This month’s Blog Carnival is being hosted by The Dice Bag with the theme being religion. For my contribution, I thought I would introduce those who aren’t aware of it to the greatest anti-D&D religious item of all time: Dark Dungeons.

For those who have never heard of it, Dark Dungeons was created by Jack Chick in 1984 as a Chick Tract, a series of religious cartoons you usually find in your car’s windshield. They are always outrageous and way over the top. Dark Dungeons is no different. It includes everything; from D&D containing real spells to someone being banished from the table because their character died. If you’ve never read it, I highly recommend it. It’s absolutely hilarious. :D

Chick tracts are awesome! The perfect example of religious extremism gone wonderfully awry.

I’m waiting for the one claiming that the Flying Spaghetti Monster is actually Cthulhu.

I won a copy of Dark Dungeons at a Gen Con raffle like 3 years ago. Every once in a while, I bust it out for a dramatic reading. :)
